1) Tell us something about yourself that your fans may not know.
A: I am way too obsessed with the movie “Flushed Away”. It’s a kids movie but it’s so amazing to me and I can tell you the whole soundtrack in order at any given point. I’m also a massive fan of “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” and have seen every episode at least a thousand times.
2) Who are some artists who influenced your music style?
A: I’m very influenced by Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, Nova Twins, Cassyette, Paramore, Crawlers, Pale Waves, VUKOVI, Wargasm and that’s just to name a few.
3) Describe your sound for people who may not have heard it yet.
A: Moshpit music, girl power vibes and dancing alone in your bedroom at 3am after crying tunes is the sound of Pinkfiz.
4) What was the inspiration behind your latest single 'ON YOUR KNEES'?
A: I wrote “On Your Knees” after a very big realization that most of my life I wasn’t allowing myself to be in control of myself and was always trying to do things to make people like me or to keep friendships or relationships and it was like a bad habit. I’d just had enough of letting other people use me and I’d had enough of being someone who was so desperate for validation that I decided to cut people off and let myself have power over myself. And to some people I looked like a villain and I looked like an awful person and if I’m those things to those people then so be it because I needed to allow myself to be happier.
5) What's your process like when going into the studio to make a new song?
A: At the moment I work alone a lot in my home studio, I usually have an idea or a concept in my head and I experiment with melodies and chords and gradually layer things into a demo track. Once I can hear the ideas in real time I can then pick it apart better and adapt it and fine tune it into a song I’m ready to release.
6) If you could have one feature for the rest of your career, who would it be?
A: It wouldn’t completely make sense for the type of music I make but I’m so in love with Billie Eilish that I’d have to pick her. She’s truly inspirational and incredible and it would be a dream come true.
